Involved in venture investment at Globis Capital Partners since 2012 and has served as an outside director for six companies. Major portfolios include Creama (IPO in 2020), Lancers (IPO in 2019), Hope (IPO in 2016), Avery, Renovell, Asobeu, etc. In 2017, Akihiro was ranked 7th in Forbes' "The 10 Most Influential Venture Investors in Japan". Akihiro has also received the "Most Valuable Young VC Award" from the Japan Venture Capital Association, the "Venture Capitalist Encouragement Award" from Japan VentureAward 2017, and other awards. Before that, Akihiro launched a platform business, invested in a game company at GREE, Inc., and served as a subsidiary director at SEPTENI Holdings, Inc.
