About
Alec Wang co-founded Intrinsic Investments in 2015 and, as Vice-President, contributes a wealth of knowledge in the areas of corporate development, and is involved in strategic planning and deal structuring and financing at Intrinsic. From 2014 to 2015, he was with HSBC Private Investment Management where he and his team managed private client assets for high net worth individuals across Western Canada. This involved managing each investor’s portfolio in their own unique capacity to help them achieve their financial objectives. Prior to joining HSBC, he was with Macquarie Group, one of the largest global investment banks where he and his team managed a portfolio of $200 million in assets, identifying opportunities for investors and structuring their portfolios. Within this role, he traveled to China with Canadian provincial premiers as a member of the Canadian Business Delegation in September 2012 where he developed a network with some of the leading companies in China.
