Altar completed postdoctoral research at Oxford and held scientific and strategic roles at AstraZeneca and Eisai across oncology, neurology, and immunology. At Eisai, he sourced and evaluated investment opportunities in life science therapeutics, techbio, and AI, leading due diligence and market analysis. At LifeSpan, he applies a data-driven lens to venture investing focused on regenerative medicine and healthy aging. Holds a BSc in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins and a PhD in Immunology and Gene Therapy from UCL.
