About
Dan has been an investor in early-stage technology companies since 2006, chaired the screening committee for Beacon Angels for 7 years, and worked for 10 years at a hedge fund, including 8 years as portfolio manager of a “quant” commodity fund. Previously, he was a VP for Mediatech Capital, a boutique investment bank for early stage technology companies after founding a web-based market for IP licensing which was acquired in 16 months. Before that, he was Director of Research at Winged Keel Asset Management and an analyst in the Fixed Income Applied Research Group at JP Morgan Investments. Dan graduated from Princeton University in 1997, where he majored in Economics and received a Certificate in Applied and Computational Mathematics.
