Dawit brings several years of experience across tech private equity and investment banking to his role as an investor. He has spent several years investing in and advising startups in the U.S. as well as East Africa. Dawit also has experience investing in larger scale companies as an Associate at Silver Lake, where he worked on multi-stage and large-cap investments across private and public markets, including buyouts, minority investments, and structured transactions. Prior to Silver Lake, Dawit was an Investment Banking Analyst and Associate in Goldman Sachs’ Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) Group, where he advised leading technology companies on M&A, capital markets, and strategic transactions. Dawit earned his BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with concentrations in Finance and Social Impact & Responsibility.
