About
Immediately before joining the VC industry, Diego worked for several years in the startup ecosystem. He was country manager and VP of Business Development at CrossLend, a German fintech backed by renowned VCs. Previously, he was VP of Growth at NativeAd, a Spanish startup in the digital advertising space. He started his career at leading law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a lawyer focused on private equity, M&A, and corporate financing. After getting is MBA from NYU Stern in the U.S., he was director of business development and marketing in Spain and the United States at Linklaters, another top international law firm. He also promoted as COO the Spanish Private Equity & Venture Capital Journal, his family-owned project and a well-known reference in the sector. After 15 years away, he returns to his hometown of Bilbao to kick off AV from the outset in early 2018.
