Ellen Richey

About

Ellen has over 40 years of legal and risk management experience. At Visa, she served as vice chairman, chief risk officer and a member of the executive committee. In those roles, Ellen drove the future of payment security, serving as Visa’s voice with legislators, regulators and clients to collaborate on issues of strategic importance to Visa. Ellen also held senior positions at WaMu and Providian, where she led work handling enterprise risk, legal, corporate governance, corporate relations, compliance and audit functions. Ms. Richey is on the board of directors of Cantaloupe, Inc., Girl Scouts of Northern California, and Green Dot. Ms. Richey holds a B.A. in linguistics and far eastern languages from Harvard University and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.
