千葉 功太郎

About

After graduating from the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies at Keio University, he joined Recruit Co., Ltd. After Cybird Co., Ltd. and K Laboratory Co., Ltd., he joined Colopl, Inc. in 2009 and became Executive Vice President and Director in December of the same year. He oversaw the human resources domain, including recruitment and talent development, and left the company in July 2016 after its IPO on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Mothers market in 2012 and its listing on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2014. While being an angel investor in the internet and real-tech industries in Japan and overseas (having personally invested in more than 60 startups and more than 40 VC funds), he founded "Drone Fund" in June 2017 and serves as its founder and Representative Partner. In April 2019 he became a Visiting Professor at Keio University SFC. In July of the same year he founded "Chiba Dojo Fund", Japan's first entrepreneur community venture capital fund. In April 2021 he became an outside director of the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) "PONO CAPITAL", which completed its IPO on the US NASDAQ in August. He is the owner of Japan's first HondaJet and an aircraft pilot.
