About

After working in new business development at web venture companies and SaaS venture companies, in August 2010 he was in charge of building the internal new business framework and developing new businesses at a major internet marketing company. He experienced launching, operating and selling a C2C marketplace business. From January 2013 he was in charge of launching the company's corporate venture capital (CVC) business. From July 2015 he took part in the establishment of a venture capital subsidiary spun out from the company, and became a partner there. As a director and observer of portfolio companies, he supports business development, marketing and fundraising of the companies he is in charge of. He has been engaged in investment activities and management support for about 11 IT venture companies in Japan and overseas, mainly early-stage to middle-stage. In December 2019 he founded Black Claw Capital (ブラッククローキャピタル), a venture capital (VC) firm specializing in solving Japan's social issues. Currently he has invested in three companies, centered on "Aging Tech" and "services for seniors", and provides hands-on value-up support.
