Joined the Industrial Bank of Japan in 1995. At the Sendai branch he gained experience in all aspects of corporate finance for corporate clients in the Tohoku region, then at the head office Credit Department worked as a credit analyst for the distribution and retail industry and was in charge of integrated risk management and refining the bank's internal rating system. At the launch of Mizuho Holdings, he led the formulation of the new internal rating system in the Credit Planning Department. In 2001 he moved to Internet Research Institute, where he closed multiple M&A deals, including subsidiaries of Nippon Steel Corporation, and then joined Inspire. He was involved in operating the JSIT-1 Fund, which invests in publicly listed companies, and the ITIF Fund, which invests in unlisted companies. He has served as an officer of more than 20 venture companies with innovative technologies in total, and, with the theme of realizing innovation, practiced business development based on capital and business alliances with operating companies, holding positions including at Euglena Co., Ltd. (resigned), Director of IID, Inc. (resigned) and ABEJA, Inc. (resigned), and led them to IPOs. In 2008 he became Representative Director and President of Inspire (current). He currently concurrently serves as Director of Bodygram Inc., Director of OriginWireless Inc., Director of Hattendo International Co., Ltd., Director of Imuraya Startup Planning Co., Ltd., Director of Okiden CplusC Co., Ltd., Visiting Professor at Kanazawa Institute of Technology, and Visiting Professor at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, among others. Since July 2021 he has been a member of the Food, Agriculture and Rural Areas Policy Council of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University.
