Completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University of Tokyo, in 2012. Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, licensed pharmacist. After graduating, he worked at Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc., engaged in new business strategy planning and support for management planning for life science and other manufacturing companies. Joined UTEC in October 2013. In charge of seed/early-stage investments, mainly in the life science field. He currently serves concurrently as an outside director, etc. of portfolio companies Editforce Inc., BUGWORKSRESERCH, INC., bitBiome Inc., Cellaid Therapeutics Inc. (セレイドセラピューティクス), PURMX Therapeutics Inc., United Immunity Co., Ltd. and RegCell, Inc. He has handled investments in Repertoire Genesis Inc. (acquired by Eurofins Scientific SE) and Oriciro Genomics Inc. (acquired by Moderna, Inc.). He also acts as a supporter of the Life Science Innovation Network Japan (LINK-J), a general incorporated association.
