Joined Nomura Securities in 1986. At Nomura Securities, held positions in the Financial Information Department, Business Development Department and others. After that, following management of venture funds and hedge funds, became Representative Director and President of Well Investment, the certified venture capital of Waseda University, in 2005. Has supported the growth of many venture companies. Also, in 2009, after earning a doctorate at Waseda University in the field of intangibles, which became the basis of the current concept of the integrated report, served as Visiting Professor at Waseda Business School (WBS) and the Waseda University Global Education Center (GEC). Currently serves as Director of the Japan Academy of Ventures, Representative Promoter of the START program of JST (formerly the Ministry of Education), and member of the investment committee of the National Research and Development Agency RIKEN, among other roles. Completed Waseda Business School (MOT/MBA), completed the Waseda University doctoral program, Doctor of Philosophy / Ph.D. in Academic Studies (International Management).
