Professor and doctoral supervisor at Beihang University (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), Changjiang Scholar, honorary director of the Beihang Robotics Institute, chief expert group leader in the advanced manufacturing technology field of the national 863 Program during the 11th Five-Year Plan, leader of the expert group for the service robot key special project during the 12th Five-Year Plan, and chair of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Beijing Chapter. As an entrepreneurship mentor, he took part in incubating and investing in high-tech innovative companies such as medical robotics (Remebot), short-distance mobility service robots (Ninebot) and industrial robots (Efort). Wang Tianmiao (王田苗) is the lead scientist of Zhiyou Fund (智友基金), which focuses on hard-tech angel investment, and is the main de facto controller of Yarui Capital (雅瑞资本).
