About
James Anderson is Managing Partner at Lingotto and CIO of the Innovation Strategy. Mr. Anderson became partner at Baillie Gifford in 1987. He led the European Equity Team and co-founded the Long Term Global Growth Strategy in 2003. He Chaired the International Growth Portfolio Construction Group 2003-2019, including as co-manager of the Vanguard International Growth Fund. He was on the Advisory Board of the Kay review into UK equity markets in 2012. He was also manager of Scottish Mortgage Trust during 2000-2015 and joint manager 2015-2022. James is a Trustee of Johns Hopkins University, a member of the Investment Committee of University College, Oxford, and a non-executive Director at Heart of Midlothian Football Club.
