Jeremy is a Partner at Haatch, where he leads the investment and portfolio teams and drives the firm's investments and M&A. Since joining in 2021, he has designed the investment strategy behind one of the UK's most active pre-seed and seed funds. His instinct for backing founders comes from years spent in their seat. Early in his career, he was Chief Operating Officer of a VC-backed startup funded by Forward Partners, Founders Factory and angels including Sir John Hegarty, and later took the helm as Managing Director to lead the commercial turnaround of a university spinout, co-founded by Peter Saunders OBE, built on patented cold-storage technology. That operating experience carried into a venture at Playfair Capital, an early-stage backer of Stripe, Thought Machine and Trouva, where he worked the pre-seed rounds of companies now defining their categories: among them Omnipresent, the global employment platform acquired by Deel, Nory (€14.7m Series A) and Protex AI ($36m Series B).
