Most recently, Joel was the Chief Legal Officer at DRI Capital, where he structured and executed transactions, sat on DRI’s investment committee and led various investments and capital markets transactions, including running the securitization of drug royalties. Joel has also been an executive at Reservoir Media, collaborating in the creation of Reservoir’s music royalty securitization as outside counsel and serving as its Chief Legal Officer during Reservoir’s transformation to a public company. Joel was a partner at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he had a broad transactional practice that included leading Cravath’s structured finance practice. Joel has many years of experience in M&A, taking companies public, raising capital and building legal and compliance departments and deep knowledge across a number of industries, including healthcare, industrials, finance and music publishing.
