About
Joon Paek PhD, is a Principal of Axil Capital. Joon joined Axil in 2020 and has been focused on managing deal flow and building value in our portfolio companies. Prior to Axil, Joon spent nearly fifteen years at cell therapy ventures including Metcela and Tissue Genesis where he assumed senior management roles, including VP of Corporate Development and Director of R&D. Joon started his career as a Chemical Engineer at NASA Langley Research Center. Joon received his PhD in Biological Science from Brown University and his BS degree in Chemistry from the College of William & Mary. Joon additionally received Master of Engineering in Polymer Chemistry from Kyoto University and an MBA from Waseda University Business School.
