Kate Ballinger

Kate began working with Ashley and Renée in 2020. Since joining the team, Kate has supported all aspects of fund and firm management. She manages the fund’s pipeline, sources investment opportunities and co-leads financing processes. Kate has observed on 8+ boards from Seed to Series C, shaping her view of the market opportunity in economic opportunity. Prior to joining Kalos, Kate was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. She spent half of her time focused on PE due diligences. During this time, Kate honed her skills in financial analysis, market sizing, valuation and growth modeling. In 2018, she was selected as one of twelve globally to join BCG’s Social Impact Immersion Program where she specialized in Social Impact casework. This experience shaped Kate’s view of venture capital as a lever for systems change and impact.
