Masako Murai

About

Dr. Murai is Vice President of Clinical Development, Immunology at Soleil. She has more than 30 years of experience in clinical practice, academic research, and drug development leadership across global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. She has guided programs from early discovery through global approvals across multiple therapeutic areas, including rare diseases, immunology, neurology, gastroenterology, hematology, and specialty medicine. Her work has contributed to several NDA/BLA and MAA approvals, including SKYCLARYS®, POTELIGEO®, and ENTYVIO®, as well as enterprise‑scale M&A integration support. Her industry experience includes leadership roles at ADARx Pharmaceuticals, Reata Pharmaceuticals/Biogen, Johnson & Johnson, Takeda, Kyowa Kirin, and Prometheus Laboratories/Nestlé Health Science. Earlier in her career, she served on the faculty at Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo and the La Jolla Institute for Immunology. She holds an MD from Niigata University School
