Matt Chandler

About

Matt invests into early-stage consumer companies across Europe and the US. He started life with ambitions of becoming an artist - quickly quashed due to artistic differences with early mentors! This creativity found outlet in brand building, first via an apparel company, and more recently as co-founder of a consumer marketplace. Lots of lessons, lots of scars. He subsequently joined True where he started to sharpen his knowledge in consumer and retail, working with the global leadership teams at TKMaxx, Morrisons, Levi's and more, before joining Octopus Ventures in 2021 to build out the consumer team. He became a member of the Investment Comittee overseeing a wide array of companies as a board member. He continues to advise AI companies, ensuring our V3 portfolio companies remain at the forefront of technological advances. Matt is based in London, Soho, and can regularly be found drinking tea in Golden Square.
