Matt Johnson is a venture capitalist, angel investor, and lecturer with a passion for backing exceptional entrepreneurs and building the Southeast’s startup ecosystem. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Johnson Venture Partners (JVP), an Atlanta-based micro VC focused on seed and early-stage startups. At JVP, Matt leads deal sourcing, due diligence, portfolio support, and fund operations, having invested in more than 40 startups over 15+ years in early-stage venture. Matt is a member of Atlanta Technology Angels and VentureSouth, serves on the Venture Atlanta conference selection committee, and is a board member and advisor to multiple high-growth companies.
