About
Professor Belkin holds bachelor's and master's degrees in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge, as well as an MD from the Hebrew University. He has nearly 50 years of research experience in ophthalmology and currently serves as Director of the Ophthalmic Technology Laboratory at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, established jointly by Tel Aviv University and Sheba, Israel's largest hospital; he is also a Professor of Ophthalmology at Tel Aviv University. Professor Belkin has also served as President of the Israel Society for Eye and Vision Research and is currently an advisor to the Singapore Eye Research Institute, among other roles. He has published more than 250 papers in ophthalmology, holds more than 20 invention patents, and has taken part in founding several companies.
