About
Michael is the Founder and Managing Partner of NewBound. Michael launched NewBound in 2019 after more 20 years at Piper Sandler, where he served as Global Head of the Consumer Investment Banking Group. Under his leadership, the group became the leading middle-market consumer practice, advising founders and management teams across sports and licensing, beauty and personal care, healthy living, and broader lifestyle verticals. Throughout his career, Michael has partnered with visionary entrepreneurs and category-defining brands at critical inflection points — from early growth through strategic sale or public offering. He founded NewBound to continue supporting founders building the next generation of enduring consumer businesses, bringing deep sector expertise, capital markets experience, and an extensive strategic network to each partnership. Outside of NewBound, Michael serves on the Board of New Era Cap Company and is a Trustee of The Nature Conservancy.
