Mike Powell

Mike has over 35 years' experience in traded financial markets, risk management, VC/PE investing and board representation. Mike was Global Head of Markets and a Group General Manager at HSBC after a 25-year career based in both Asia and London. After leaving HSBC in 2008 Mike successfully invested in, and advised, a number of technology companies including Fixnetix, Smart Trade, FinEx Capital, ECM, Vallum, Privitar, VeridiumID and Elwood. Mike has been a long serving non-executive director of two PE funds; Jadwa Investments and Fajr Capital and Chairs the investment committee of Jadwa Investments. Mike has an MBA, is FCA registered and a qualified director.
