About
BS of Wuhan University, Ph.D. of University of Tsukuba Xiao came to Japan in 1988 as a government-sponsored international student of the Ministry of Education, and obtained a doctoral degree from the University of Tsukuba in 1994. Xiao then pursued his career as economist, conducting research and analysis on Chinese economy and financial markets for many years at Daiwa Research Institute and SMBC Nikko Securities. He also worked as management and marketing specialist for an independent asset management company specializing in Japanese stocks.
