About
Nelson Switzer is an environmental engineer turned sustainability strategist. He pioneered environmental risk valuation for asset managers before holding senior sustainability posts at Nestlé, PwC, Centrica, and RBC. A leading authority on climate, water, and pollution, he coined the principle of the “restoration economy,” arguing that restoring natural capital underpins economic prosperity. For over 20 years he has guided investors, corporations, and governments on value-creating decarbonization and development strategies. A frequent media commentator and keynote speaker, he is author of the forthcoming book The Gigacorn Hunter: Seven Principles for a Climate Investor. Switzer holds an MEng in Environmental Engineering (Toronto) and a BSc (New Brunswick).
