Nicholas Lim

Nicholas is Head of Legal and Compliance at January Capital, where he drives the firm’s legal strategy and manages its legal and regulatory compliance operations. He brings over a decade of experience across corporate transactions, fund formation, and financial regulatory matters. Prior to joining January Capital, Nicholas held senior legal roles with leading venture capital and fintech firms. Notably, he served as Counsel at Sequoia Capital, where he led a team managing deal execution and exits, as well as portfolio governance oversight. He began his career in private practice at leading law firms, specialising in private M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital transactions. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manchester and an Executive Master in Finance from INSEAD.
