About
Lever VC Founder Nick Cooney has been working in the alternative protein sector for 17 years and investing into the category since 2015. He has invested in over 70 alternative protein deals around the world, and currently serves on the boards of several of Lever VC portfolio companies. Nick is also the Co-Founder and former Board Chair of the Good Food Institute, the world’s largest non-governmental organization working to grow the alternative protein space. Prior to investing in the category, Nick oversaw teams promoting alternative protein products to consumers and worked with leading food companies on adding more alternative proteins to their offerings. He is based in the greater New York City region.
