About
Oliver joined Ahren in 2019 and is a member of the investment team. He is responsible for the firm’s investments in applied AI across stages with a particular focus on robotics, science and education. He serves on the Boards of several of the firm’s portfolio companies in Europe, Israel and North America and was a Director at Mentee Robotics from its first financing until exit where he supported the company to achieve one of the top 10 largest robotics acquisitions globally. Investments he is involved with include AI21 Labs, Ambi Robotics, Bicycle Therapeutics (IPO), Bitfount, Cassidy Bio, Graphcore (acq. Softbank), Hiverge, Mentee Robotics (acq. Mobileye), Micropsi Industries and Phaidra. Prior to Ahren, Oliver was Chief of Staff at a venture backed start up recognised by Nesta as a leading technology to combat antimicrobial resistance. Oliver holds a First-Class undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Exeter.
