Ritu Verma

About

Ritu co-founded Ankur Capital in 2013 and leads the firm's investments in agritech and deep science. Over the past decade, she has backed scientists and engineers building category-defining companies across synthetic biology, nuclear fusion, advanced diagnostics, and other frontier technologies. Previously, she spent fifteen years at Unilever and Philips, leading global R&D, technology commercialization, and business leadership initiatives across two continents. Ritu holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from INSEAD and is an inventor on four patents. She serves on the Board of Godrej Agrovet and contributes to several deep-tech ecosystem initiatives. Outside work, she enjoys engaging with emerging scientific breakthroughs and innovation ecosystems.
