About
A physicist and researcher, he worked for a long time with Nobel Prize-winning physicist Carlo Rubbia at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) in the field of energy production. In 2002 he founded Advanced Accelerator Applications (listed on NASDAQ in 2015), a radiopharmaceutical company that develops, produces and markets diagnostic and therapeutic products for molecular nuclear medicine, acquired by Novartis for $3.9 billion in 2018.
