Stephen Ruiz

Dr. Ruiz is an Analyst at TCG Labs. Previously, Dr. Ruiz was part of the Asset Selection team at RTW Investments, where he supported long-biased public equity investments in biotechnology companies across therapeutic areas including ophthalmology, immunology, cardiology, and rare disease. Earlier, he gained experience in finance and public equities at Oppenheimer & Co., conducting financial and industry analyses on medical technology companies. During graduate school, his research focused on nanotechnology-enabled drug delivery, cancer lipid metabolism, and cell death. His academic work has been supported by competitive fellowships and published in ACS Chemical Biology, Nature, and Cell. In parallel, he served as a Graduate Research Fellow with Lime Therapeutics, leading preclinical target discovery using their novel drug screening platform.
