Vera Kunz

Vera joined Ahren in 2026 and is a member of the investment team where she predominantly works on deep technology and climate technology investments. Prior to Ahren, Vera was part of the investment team at APEX x Amadeus Capital Partners' early-stage deep tech fund, based between Vienna and London, working on early-stage deep tech deals across the DACH region with a particular interest in the energy sector. Vera holds a PhD and Masters in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from TU Wien. Her doctoral research focused on lithium-air batteries, a next-generation battery technology with roughly 10-fold higher energy density than lithium-ion, considered by many to be the holy grail of electric mobility.
