About

Dr. Tu serves as Vice President, Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Soleil Labs (Shanghai), bringing more than fifteen years of experience in small-molecule drug discovery across oncology, cardiovascular, and CNS therapeutic areas in both pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Prior to joining Soleil, Dr. Tu was Head of Medicinal Chemistry at Haihe Biopharma in China, where he led the team in building a differentiated pipeline of preclinical and clinical candidates and establishing an internal PROTAC/molecular glue platform. From 2016 to 2020, Dr. Tu served as a Principal Scientist at the Janssen Pharmaceutical Shanghai Discovery Center, where he focused on discovering drugs targeting first-in-class oncology mechanisms. He began his industry career at Hengrui Pharmaceutical in 2009 as a Medicinal Chemistry Group Leader. Dr. Tu earned his B.S. in Materials Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China and his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh
