Fermtech

About

Fermtech is an Oxford-based biotech company pioneering a cocoa alternative with up to 98% lower carbon emissions than conventional cocoa, and requiring no agricultural land to produce. Its sustainable, proprietary Koji Cocoa™ product is a true-tasting, clean-label cocoa ingredient derived from cocoa shells, delivering up to 33% cost savings for end products. By unlocking greater functional yield from crops that have already been grown, Fermtech helps manufacturers reduce supply chain risk, lower environmental impact and strengthen food system resilience.
