Shanghai Xinxiang Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (上海新相微电子股份有限公司, Shanghai Xinxiang Microelectronics) was founded in 2005 by Chairman Dr. Peter Hong Xiao (肖宏), who holds a PhD in electronic engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, after he returned to China. It is one of the first chip design companies in China to localize display driver chips. The company is headquartered in the Shanghai Caohejing Development Zone, and has set up subsidiaries, branches and operating outlets in Hefei, Xi'an, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and elsewhere, and has been deeply engaged in the display driver IC design industry for more than ten years.
