Saltz is a European fresh products marketplace connecting food producers and sellers to restaurants, hotels and retail buyers. Buyers can now procure fresh products without middlemen or distributors, and enjoy a broader assortment, lower prices and fresher products. The company was co-founded by Andrius and Tomas Šlimas, who exited Oberlo to Shopify a few years ago, along with Reinis Strodahs, a 20 year veteran of the European restaurant supply industry. Change Ventures joined the seed round led by Lifeline Ventures, with Illusian, Miki Kuusi (co-founder of Wolt), Mantas Mikuckas (co-founder of Vinted) and Rytis Vitkauskas (Partner, Dig Ventures) also joining. In 2026 Saltz raised €20M in Series A funding to scale their business across Europe.
