About
Pantera Capital was founded in 2003 by former Tiger Management Head of Macro Trading and CFO Dan Morehead. In 2013 Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the U.S. and the first blockchain-focused venture fund; in 2017 it launched the first early-stage token fund in the U.S. The site states $3.5bn in assets under management, 4 fund strategies, over 100 venture investments and 110 early-stage token investments, with the firm leading about 75% of its Blockchain Fund deals and 47% of invested capital outside the U.S.
