About
QB Capital invests in and supports the growth of "university-originated" and "real tech" startups, mainly in the Kyushu region, aiming to break away from the concentration in Tokyo and create regional innovation that makes use of universities' "knowledge".

- We regard "university-originated" and "real-tech" startups as vehicles that play an important role in promoting and creating regional and science and technology innovation. On the other hand, while funds and talent are concentrated in the center, excellent research and technology are unevenly distributed in the regions. However, because the number of investors supplying risk money to "university-originated" and "real-tech" startups is overwhelmingly smaller than in the center, there are many university-originated startups that cannot cross the gap (the "valley of death") and grow, and many promising business seeds that never even reach founding. To solve these problems, we took risks ourselves and formed a fund with the capital we raised. In other words, we too are entrepreneurs. With that "empathy" as our axis, we stay close to entrepreneurial researchers and entrepreneurs and provide commercialization support from the technology-seed stage.Source (opens in a new tab)
